Shove It! – The Exhibition
curated by baykiddead, shove it! aims to raise funds and awareness for an amazing civic project to bring the country’s largest free outdoor skatepark to downtown des moines. the show will feature original skate deck art and a corresponding, customized paper toy from each of the 40+ participating artists. the roster reads as an all-world collection of paper toy luminaries, graphic artist icons, and cutting edge visionaries of the des moines art scene.
combining our efforts with those of the des moines regional skatepark committeeand subsect skateshop, we hope to raise a substantial amount for construction of the park, one that aims to be the largest outdoor park in the united states. as such we are planning and brainstorming ways to make shove it! a fundraiser unlike any other.
